Arriving in KL early in the morning gave me a different perspectives on the place. The airport was deserted, barely anyone there, except few lines of Indians queuing at the transfer desk. The immigration was quick as usual, but the luggage took a while to get out. I felt so relieved to be able to go back to the place that I love so much, the KLIA express didn't take long and I was so happy to be able to spot Putrajaya and Mid Valley on my way to KL Sentral. My friends have been expecting me at their place and I was so embarassed and sorry, as I have troubled them by making them waiting for me as they need to get to work that morning. For pretty much the whole day, I didn't do anything, I couldn't get out either. I have no idea where am I and I don't have ringgit either, all my money is still in Australian dollars. Urgh...
Luckily, they took me to Mid Valley in the evening. It was still the same, not much changes, except a few shops here and there. That place was unusually crowded last night, as many people went for pre-Christmas sale and bargain hunting. Giordano was having 50% off sale and it was jam packed with people and security guards, even had to install a barrier and poles to control the queues.
Back to my friend's place, I managed to sleep, albeit not very comfortable under the fan and on top of the thin mattress. My back was a little sore in the morning and I woke up early too, as I couldn't sleep much last night.
Calling a taxi to get to my friend's place is no easy task, it took me 45minutes to get a taxi at 10am. My friend's condo is kinda remote and off the track, it's not easy to find either. I had to ask my bf in melbourne to help me calling the taxi. Finally, I got myself a cab with a nice driver and arriving at the hotel was a bliss. The room was not ready, but I'm just happy to be able to leave my luggage with them and knowing that I will be able to get a good night sleep tonight.
As I was waiting for my friend from Jakarta to arrive, I booked myself a full spa treatment from head to toe. Sooooo relaxing.... All my pains and tiredness have gone....
Met my friend in KL sentral and headed to the hotel afterwards, but not before booking the day trip to genting for tomorrow. What a day... Tonight, we gonna just relax, shop in times square and enjoy ourselves eating mamak in Jalan Alor... Yum...

マレーシアエアライン
After some last minutes preparation, I finally headed to the airport around 9.30pm last night. Arriving at the airport, Malaysia Airlines' check in counters are nowhere to be seen, seems that there are some re-organising work done in Melbourne Airport. Qantas now occupies the far right corner and Singapore Airlines occupies 2 sides of check in counters in the middle. There are few flights leaving that night within minutes of each other, including Singapore Airlines to Singapore, Thai Airways to Bangkok, Malaysia Airlines to Kuala Lumpur, and Qantas to Hong Kong/London.
Singapore Airlines' check in counters looked deserted, but no surprise here. They use both sides of check in counters to speed up the check in process. Malaysia and Thai on the other hand, only used one side and has extremely long queues, way beyond their designated queue lines. I met few people in the queue and we checked in together, so there were 6 of us. The check in took ages, maybe 20-30min just to get our boarding pass. In all, we have 13 pieces of luggage, yes.. 13!! and the humongous luggage bags. Since this is a codeshare flights with Air India, there were plenty of Indians around, with their endless luggage. They looked like bringing the whole house with them. We are in for a heavy ride tonight....
Around 00.00, passengers were called for boarding. I arrived at the gate at around 12.15am, and no one was there. Everyone is on board already. Entering the planes, I felt like the flight attendants didn't try enough to accomodate the passengers. They are just leaning to the chairs and said welcome, only a few actually bothered to help the passengers to put their luggage at the overhead compartment. What a difference from Singapore Airlines. When I got into my seat, the seat was occupied by an Indian guy. I asked him to move to his seat, the middle seat. Later, he asked if he can swap seat with me and he said his leg is pain. Oh what a bullshit... I said no... The seat pitch has no difference whether you are in the middle or aisle seat. Later, I found 0ut he slept most of the time and snored too.. Geez.. what happen if I need to go to toilet, which I did go about 4-5 times during the flights.

The economy class seats was pretty narrow, but the seat pitch is better than Singapore Airlines' and Cathay Pacific's boeing 747. The hot towel they gave wasn't up to the standard, it's actually a warm paper towel. Oh well... The first meal was a cost cutting measures implemented to alleviate the ailing carrier from losing money. It was horrible lamb sandwich/bun, the bread was cold, hard and lamb? can't you even think of better choices? Not many people like lambs. The drink choices was pretty mediocre: tea, coffee, water, orange juice, and several soft drinks. Alcoholic beverages were nowhere to be seen. Such a shame for 5 stars airlines.
Soon after the meal, the lights were turned off so people could sleep. I watched some movies and documentary during the flights. The inflight entertainment need some practice to get used to. It wasn't that bad. Several new released movies were shown, including The devil wears prada, X-men, poseidon, da vinci code, and some selections of asian movies. It was the new audio video on demand, not bad...
If I didn't asked for water, I think, I would be pretty much dehydrated during the flights. The flights attendants dissapeared after the meals. I had to use the call button to get some water. The call buttons do not always work either, sometimes I have to keep pressing to get attention from them. Where the heck are their ears and eyes? I also wonder, why there was no water/drinks offered every half hour for the passengers to keep them hydrated. They only had two rounds of drinks offer during the 3-4 hours we were in the dark. The plane was flying slow, there was strong head wind of more than 135km/hour above the australian desert. The flight speed shown 890 km/hr, which I thought was pretty slow for a boeing 747.
2.5 hours before landing, the lights were turned on for breakfast. I was pretty surprised, 2.5 hours is such a long time to go before landing. However, I waited and waited, they didn't serve the breakfast straight away, even the second round of so called hot towel took a while to be seen. During the flight I realised that the flight attendants took forever to serve the meals. Even the special meals didn't arrive earlier than the normal meals. They didn't have menu distributed in flight, but they had the menu shown in the tv screen. What a great way to save money, even though I wasn't impressed. They have nasi lemak or chicken sausage with vegetable frittata as the option for breakfast, but the nasi lemak has finished when they reached me. Can't complaint here, I'm taking economy class, you can't always get the meal you want.
Before landing, I asked the flight attendant if they have playing cards, but they seemed to have stopped the production for the cards. I have to say that, the flight attendant named Rowena was pretty and she was pretty nice to me. Overall, I wouldn't say this is a bad flights, but Malaysia Airlines surely do not deserve the best flight attendants award from Skytrax. They need to learn how to use a better body language, use all of their 5 sense to find out passengers' needs, and learn a thing or two about efficiency. For the price I paid, I shouldn't complaint much.
For your interest, maybe this can be the comparisons:
* Singapore Airlines using real towels, not just cheap paper towels. Cathay Pacific has no hot towel at all, they had some wet tissue.
* I'm yet to see Singapore Airlines' flight attendants using poor body language, despite countless of flights with them nor I have seen this in Cathay Pacific. Both airlines have great flight attendants that will help you with your need, including helping putting your luggage into overhead compartment.
* Singapore Airline's flight attendants will be there by your side within 10-20 seconds, provided they are not busy serving the meals.
* Singapore Airlines and Cathay Pacific has menu and great selection of drinks in economy class. In Singapore Airlines, you can have, 2 selections of white and red wine, cocktails and mocktails, as well as some not very common juice like Tomato and Pineapple juice.
* Singapore Airlines and Cathay Pacific keep their passengers hydrated by offering water/juice every half hour, even during the dark.
I know SQ are more expensive, but that's how they make their money. They provide good services and in return, they have high customer loyalty. I couldn't even book the flights with them coz it was fully booked, even though they have 3 flights a day from Melbourne.
Would I recommend Malaysia Airlines? If you are on the budget, this airline surely beats Jetstar, but if you have the money, Singapore Airlines is a much better choice.

休みのスケジュール
Summer is coming... in just few days and it's soon time to leave for my summer trip. After weeks of trying to squeeze my schedules and scrambling to look for additional flights seats, I finally managed to get myself settled. I will be flying Malaysia Airlines for the first time, so they better leave me a good impression, otherwise never again. I have been hearing not so good review about them, but I will wait to experience it myself before commenting on them.
Here is my schedules:
5th Dec 2006: Melbourne to Kuala Lumpur --> Malaysia Airlines
12th Dec 2006: Kuala Lumpur to Bangkok --> Air Asia
14th Dec 2006: Bangkok to Singapore --> Thai Air Asia
17th Dec 2006: Singapore to Kuala Lumpur --> Bus
18th Dec 2006: Kuala Lumpur to Jakarta --> KLM
19th Dec 2006: Jakarta to Surabaya --> Garuda Indonesia
26th/30th Dec 2006: Surabaya to Denpasar, Bali --> Garuda Indonesia
1st Jan 2007: Denpasar, Bali to Surabaya --> Garuda Indonesia
6th Jan 2007: Surabaya to Jakarta --> Garuda Indonesia
6th Jan 2007: Jakarta to Kuala Lumpur --> KLM
8th Jan 2007: Kuala Lumpur to Melbourne --> Malaysia Airlines
As you can see, I have two additional cities mentioned from my original trip, Bangkok and Bali. I just hope that the holiday is really fun, considering I will be scrutinized from head to toe when I meet my mother and fingers crossed, Air Asia won't have any delays or cancellations.

のだめカンタービレ
Do you know this drama called のだめカンタービレ(nodame cantabile)? It's totally hillarious and very much styled like an anime. Totally recommended... It still air in Japan, so not all episodes or subtitles is out yet. And check out the end of episode 6, 2 cute guys appear there... LoL

クリスマスの休み
Finally, after nearly 2 years stuck in the gigantic desert island in the corner of pacific ocean, I managed to secure myself a ticket to a month of fun and shopping in South East Asia. I will be visiting Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Surabaya, and most likely Jakarta for more than a month. The exact schedule of the trips is not yet out, but the tickets to Kuala Lumpur is already booked. I'm too excited to write anything more, lol... :P

見合い結婚
Sometimes, I wonder if my parents know about my sexual orientation. There has been few occasions, where my parents are trying to introduce me to a girl for a date. I often, don't know what to say, I feel like I just been blasted to the past, in which I'm the prince and has to marry the princess from the neighboring kingdom.
Recently, my dad just gave me a picture of a Balinese girl with a phone number behind it. He told me to call her. I know many of my parents' business partners have been trying to introduce their daughters to me, but for my parents to even respond to them is unacceptable. I don't know what they find it attractive in me. I'm not handsome neither masculine neither business smart, I'm not even close to mature. I have the teenager-ish hair, act childish at times, spoilt, and streetwear dressed, but again no one knows about this real side of mine. I'm a totally different person, whenever I'm home.
A summer night while I thought, it still twilight...
The dawn came too soon
Where did the moon take its refuge without me noticing?
Not behind the mountains, but in the cloud somewhere...

さようなら、爺さん
The morning started with busy and tiring house cleaning and cooking to greet my parents and my sister that is supposed to stay for a week. I was terribly exhausted when I heard a phone ringing from my cousin in Perth, it relayed something that I have not expected. My grandfather has died... For a moment, I was not able to think, my mind was filled with uneasiness and confusion, while I was walking around the house frantically. I tried to contact my parents, but they were unreachable as they were still in the plane, enroute from Sydney to Melbourne. As soon as they landed, I broke the news to them and they speed to my home. Arriving at my place, all of our phones were showcasing their ringtones with non stop performance and I was rushing to find tickets for them. It was such a hectic one hour, before finally managed to get tickets and they left speeding for the airport. I haven't met them for 10months and when I got the chance, I only managed to see them for an hour and as the day passed, an evening turned into night, the feeling is so surreal, I feel like living in a dream.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
My grandfather has been sick for a long time, he has prostate cancer and about 10 years ago he had surgery to remove the prostate, had cancer treatment, and after a while his cancer was deemed as cured. However, 2.5 years ago he collapsed at home and went into comma for several days. At the time, the doctor said that the cancer was raging again inside his body, but this time it was already spreading. We never thought that he would survived that time, but he did. He came out from the hospital, but he wasn't able to walk and was bedridden until his death. We have to employ two nurses full time to look after him 24/7. During his 2.5 years life on the bed, I only managed to see him once, during my 2004 christmas holiday and despite his condition, he has a very strong memory. He remembered his children's and grandchildren's birthdays, he is aware of what's going on about him. His struggle and fight is something that I always admire. On his final week, he started to have fever and his condition is deteriorating. My parents was reluctant to leave him, as his condition getting worst and we just expect that it was just a normal fever, but it wasn't. It was his last...

プラダを着た悪魔
悪魔をきます!!

Tomorrow, I start the end of my days. No more laughter nor joy, no more happiness nor smile... As of now, my hair is standing and my body shiver awaiting the judgment days. Love and freedom will disappear into thin air, as if it never exist. Slowly, my feelings will be of no weight. The weather will be colder, the wind will create storms of extreme strength and the clouds hanging over the sky suspending the sunshine and warmth. The horror of unimaginable terror will unleashed into life...............
A devil "act alike" will arrive tomorrow, all of my dreams and hopes for all this time will be given up for her desire and wish. I will submit myself as she create anger over myself, leaving me into despair and deep misery.
Please god, save me from my frustration... Save me from my own mother...

Hmm.. Just saw a website that filled with things that you think should be banned. Let see, what I will to ban from my life:
USA - hate their government so much, too much power, but super idiot and extremely arrogant
Qantas and their subsidiaries- They are racist, anti competition, bad service, and ran by the worst CEO, Geoff Dixon...
American cars (Ford, GM, Cadillac, Hummer, etc) - they consume lots of petrol (symbol that they can spend as much oil they want, coz they have "superpower") and not as reliable as Japanese cars
Nokia - crap fones, bad customer service, ugly designs
Commonwealth Bank - oh dear, customer service? which bank?
Paris Hilton and people like her - ignorant, selfish, and idiot, i just plain hate her
Things that I want to ban, but I can't yet...
Microsoft - are they nuts or what? They sell windows XP for hundreds of dollars.. It's freaking expensive for a failed, virus prone software. Too bad, I still love my VAIO
McDonalds - they have too much money for their own good, riding on the children's obesity, can't do it yet coz they are the only place where you can eat after midnight in Australia >_<
--------------------------------------------------------------
Last night, I was looking at pictures from the anti chinese riot in Indonesia in 1998. Goodness gracious, how can a human be so barbaric, they don't deserve to be called human. I was so angry, sad, and shaken, I couldn't continue watching it. There were pictures of children being burned, some has their head and limps cut, men beheaded, some were raped. While the women were humiliated, gang raped, and tortured to death. What sins have these people commited to get this kind of treatment? If any of you want to watch it, it's here. But be warned, it's very graphic, do not eat while you watch, unless you are just as barbaric as them.

シンガポルエアライン
The recent result of your preferred airline conducted by The Age. Singapore Airline is on the top with 39%, yay!!

After so many bad experiences with Qantas (Queer and Nasty Typical Australian Service), I would hope they go down the drain, broke, and lose to better Asian airlines. At least, I'm glad to see my favorite airline, SIA (So incredible, ah...) is winning on the Australian market, they are the biggest foreign carrier in Australia after all. Singapore Girl, you're still a great way to fly.
By the way, do you know that Singapore Girl has a wax figure in Madame Tussauds wax museum in London? It is the first commercial figure to grace the museum, thanks to its long standing and revered reputation of excellent service and smile.

Unfair? Perhaps not...
In this day and age, material and external beauty affects how people behave, think, and feel. I used to envy those beautiful people (even now, sometimes I do, but much much less), but as I learn to grow up, those things can make ones grow arrogant and feel untouchable. I used to know this very cute guy, very fair and pretty looks, very much like the asian actors or singers, BUT he was so snobbish, if you are ugly, he won't even look at your eyes when you are trying to talk to him. He would look up to the sky, as if you are talking to a wall. Of course, I do realised that not all good looking people behave like this, but don't you just hate it when someone trying to use their good looks for their advantage?
On the other hand, I know many decent looking people (like most common citizens do), who are extremely nice, helpful, and kind. They are the ones who make the world or Melbourne for me, a better place to live in. Beautiful personality last forever, but beautiful face only last for certain period, humans ageing, wrinkles and white hair is unavoidable. So there you go, the world is not really unfair, it is fair for the things that you can't see. You must be thinking what's wrong with me talking like this, there's nothing wrong, it's just something that suddenly come up to my mind, hehe...
Talking about beautiful people, I never realised that Wang Lee Hom is not just good looking, but also talented (heard about this long time ago, but never checked his bio). Anyway here are few things about him: (Source: Wikipedia)
* Leehom, at age 23, was the youngest winner of the GMA's Best Producer and Male Singer award (equivalent to Chinese Grammies)
* He is left handed
* His father is a pediatrician, and his older brother is a doctor now residing in Philadelphia. His younger brother is a student at MIT (smart ass...), and most of his relatives are doctors
* Although Leehom currently writes his own lyrics, he did not learn Chinese until he was 18. He learned French in high school. He learned how to speak Mandarin when he first debuted at 18 (he read PINYIN when he sang). He learned Cantonese when he was 23/24. He learned Japanese when he was 25. I believe he speak chinese fluently now (凄いね!!)
* Leehom has perfect pitch, which means he can identify pitch by ear. He also can play most pieces of music by ear, and hence doesn't usually need sheet music.
* Has a recording studio in USA located in Boston, called "Homeboy Studios."
Now I'm really jealous.. Good looking, smart, and talented... And I believe he is quite down to earth as well. Awww... :P

メルボルンの濃霧
For the last few days, melbourne has been extremely cold (to my standard at least) and "blessed" with heavy fogs almost every morning. Guess, it pretty much lived up to its reputation to be London's sister in weather at least... always gloomy, cloudy, and foggy during winter. I missed summer very much, despite its occasional unbearable hot 40 degree temperature. Anyway here are some pics that I took recently.

On my way home from work last night, can't see the lights from big buildings in the CBD. PS: It wasn't the camera's fault that it was blur, the fog was really dense

There's supposed to be a lot of tall CBD buildings, but none can be seen, thanks to the low cloud

ビジネスプラン
Another rubbish entry by me, lol... Dunno why just feeling like writing it. I just found that some companies are so stupid in running their business and it caused them to lose money and competitiveness, here are some of them and the things I would do if I become their CEO (dream on....)
SONY Corporation
Sony is best known for its electronic products, it is one of the most respected and trusted brand in electronic world. However, recent annual report proves it the other way.
* Sony should keep their entertainment and electronic business separates. There have been major conflict of interests from both parties. The proprietary format and the piracy control has made Sony electronic starts its pathway downhill faster.
* Listen to what customer wants, instead of creating something that customers is not likely to buy or embrace. Minidisc was a huge failure outside Japan and so was betamax. Its Vaio computers are filled with many junk software and the MP3 walkman has buggy software, I would prefer that Sony using the existing software rather than create one of its own. It's wasting money.
* Imposed a stricter pricing control. This will helps bottom line. One of the examples are Apple. They have very strict pricing control and it's very hard to get a discount, unless you are a student. I found Sony are okay in some parts, but there's always rooms for improvement. Better pricing control also helps in resale value. Of course, with Sony's premium price, customers would expect better service. The ones like My Sony in Australia where customer get to have private product demonstration and invitation to VIP shopping nights are great. It helps to create customer loyalty as well.
* Do not pour money into research and development if the returns won't be great. I think, somehow they put too much money into R&D and developing many useless but cool gadgets.
* Sony Ericsson joint venture has been great, but I would want them to have premium pricing, like Samsung. Samsung made a great deal of money from its high end phones, as the margins are so high. They also have stricter pricing, Sony Ericsson on the other hand, has lower prices, better features and its prices tend to go downhill extremely fast.
Malaysia Airlines
Malaysia Airlines have been making news lately, as they are into some financial troubles. It's a great airline runs by idiot government officials, which put prestige above everything.
* Ditch all their domestic routes, except Kota Kinabalu, Kota Bharu, Kuching, Penang, Langkawi, Johor, and Alor Star. Let Air Asia do the rest of Malaysia.
* Ditch all aircraft except Boeing 777-200ER, A330-300, and Boeing 737-400. Cancel the A380 order as well. With MAS ditching all other aircrafts, it may need to order more of the aircraft mentioned above. Smaller variety of aircraft is cheaper to run, saves money in training and spare parts.
* Abandoned all first class. Malaysia is not a business destination, focus mainly on leisure passengers. MAS may want to create premium economy class, if they like.
* NO FREE RIDES FOR POLITICIANS. This one is killing MAS.
* Fly to these destinations only using the following aircraft. All must be served at least daily. Non-daily flights won't be able to attract any business passengers, as it has less flexibility.
- Boeing 777-200ER: Sydney, Melbourne, Auckland, London, Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Paris, Tokyo, Los Angeles via Taipei, New York (JFK) via Dubai, Johanessburg
- A330-300: Perth, Brisbane, HongKong, Bangkok, Osaka, Seoul, Beijing, Shanghai, Jakarta, Taipei, New Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Colombo, Karachi, Jeddah, Guangzhou, Male
- Boeing 737-400: All domestic routes plus Surabaya, Bali, Medan, Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Bandar Seri Begawan, Manila, Phuket, Singapore
The destinations not mentioned above, MAS can ditch it.
* Reduce employee benefits.
* Make sure every plane has consistent facilities. For example, all long haul and medium haul planes (B772ER and A333) must have AVOD facilities and flat bed in business class.
* Do not follow Singapore Airlines expansion, MAS is in different segments. So far, they always try to imitate SIA in terms of destinations, it won't work. Leaner and slimmer MAS is better, as they can be easier to manage and can be grown slowly and controlled.
Actually, I still have Mitsubishi corporation in my mind, but I think it's enough for our business presentation today. I can see you yawning already... :P

小天地
When I was on the train, on my way home, I looked at each individual there, every face tells a human story that creates us. Chinese, middle eastern, caucasian, Indian, polynesian, African, all of them bound to clash to each other in a packed train carriage. Remind me of a movie called "Crash" about racial tension in Los Angeles. Lucky, so far we haven't had any racial motivated riot or violence in Melbourne yet. Not so long ago, distance was a major hurdles for understanding and economy. These days, everything seem to be everywhere, from humans to goods.
The train I rode today was made in Germany by company called Siemens, an Indian sat in front of me, I listened to a Japanese design Sony walkman made in China, listening to Korean songs, while two guys sitting across my seat chatted in Greek. Somehow, I feel so lucky to be able to live and accept different cultures and exposures around me. Back at home, the racial and religious tension is always running high. There are less race and religion in Indonesia and they are yet to live harmoniously. The chinese, only 3%, often look down at the locals because there is a perception where they are lazy to work and can only ask. The locals hate the chinese, as they are controlling most of the economy. The muslim extremist wanted to make the country into a muslim country by killing and terrorised the christians (Indonesia is not an Islam country with Islam law, despite the majority of its population are muslim).
Acceptance of other cultures and new things are also terribly slow in Indonesia, girls wearing tight mini skirt in shopping malls can create havoc among the some. Don't even think of mentioning gay in the society, it's unheard of (It's not accepted, but general population doesn't even know what gay is!!!). The world is getting smaller, but some parts of our living space is isolating itself.
On the other note, in the train 2 Chinese guys kept looking back at me. Initially, I thought there was something wrong with me, but then one of them was smirking. Creeeeepppyyy..... Yuck...

幸福は環境いかんによるものでなくて、むしろ自分の人生に対する見方いかんによる
Somehow, meeting my old friends cheered me up a lot today. It was my friend's birthday lunch today. Her birthday was actually almost 2 weeks ago, but I guess she was pretty busy and couldn't celebrate it last week. It has been a very long time since I met her and she was as excited and noisy as ever. Some of my other friends that I haven't met for a long long time was there as well. Listening to some of their stories, I started to realised I belong to a different world now. I can't be childish as I used to be, I have to learn to start growing up and accepting and adjusting to changes around me. One of my coursemates is getting married in January next year, some of us are planning to go home and come to her wedding. Another one, the mother died of stroke more than a month ago, the birthday girl broke up with her boyfriend, my feeling mixed up like bim bim bap (Korean mixed rice), happy and sad together. I missed those times when we can just share everything without distance and boundary. These days, I feel lacking behind in what happen to my friends. Nevertheless, I treasured their companions and their willingness to share stories with me.
On the other note, one my friends, a girl named Rei, asking me if i have been to gay club. I was so surprised with what she asked, I wonder if she knows about me. I don't mind if she knows, but it has to be from me, I don't like people spreading rumor like fire. And she is actually curious about going to one and asked me if I wanna go with her. I guess she knows rite? Oh well...

一リトルの涙
Last night, I watched this Japanese drama called 一リトルの涙 (1 litre of tears). From the title itself, I think it should be pretty obvious how sad and maybe boring the drama is. However, I watched it coz it's not about those lovey doey couple separated by ocean and time, but a this is a life story of a young girl which died 1988 due to Spinocerebellar ataxia. This is a genetic disease where one slowly losing control over their body, losing ability to walk, talk, and write. One may even have difficulty swallowing and breathing at later stage. However, even though one lose its body control, his/her brain can still think normally like normal people do. This girl, Ikeuchi Aya was diagnosed with the disease at 15 years old and died 10 years later. During her 10 years, she wrote a diary which was published in Japan and sold in millions. Her courage, hope, and bravery have inspired many. It was so moving and touching how her family and friends react to this. For those who never watch it, I would recommend this series strongly.
It inspires me a lot and asked me to reflect on myself. She was so young, so fragile, on the bed most of the times, yet she gave courage and hope to others. She make use of her remaining ability to make a difference. She said to her loved one that he has future of infinite proportions and he must make use of it. I feel deeply affected when she said that, I'm 23 and I have not encounter any disease that affect my mobility or thinking, so have I made any difference to people around me? Have I created the purpose of my life? I have no idea. Instead of create a living for myself, maybe I should create a better life for others.
Anyway..... I did cry a bucket when I watched it. I don't like watching sad movies, but this was an exception as it is such a wonderful and inspiring series. Plus Nishikido Ryou is sooooooooooooooooooooooooo HOT.... Hahahaha...

メルボルンは嫌い
After almost 7 years living, eating, drinking, and sleeping in Melbourne, I have grown to both love and hate this city. Too bad tho, my hate has grown so much more than before. I can't stand of living in here anymore, I wish to go home as soon as I have settled everything here, which means not in near the future. Sometimes, I also found that I lived in a mismanaged country. Here are few things that I get irritated with or hate:
* TAX!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Goodness, here is the worst. If you have high salary, think about sneaking it overseas. The tax here is 47% for anyone with salary above $150,000. Compare it to Hongkong which its highest rate is only 15% and Singapore 20%, even UK is only 30%. The government here steal so much and give so little, keep reading to find out.
* Education is a bloody joke here. The university depends on the international students to survive. Apparently private sectors doesn't give much funding and so is the government. University here already increased the student fee, yet their quality is either deteriorating or the same. Barely any improvements in their teaching system and facilities for students. And with the government abolishing compulsory student union, expect expensive sporting facilities, no or little student clubs and definitely no more student radios, magazine, and orientation week. For those who is considering to study overseas, DON'T COME HERE!!! It's expensive and you will not be looked after by the government. In Victoria, international students are not allowed to ride public transport with student concession, they have to pay full fare.
* Health system is another thing. We have less and less benefit with medicare, while keep paying high rate of tax. The government seems want to put less money in the health system.
* Transportation in Victoria is horrible. The government doesn't f*^#ing care with the people. We have underfunded, underdeveloped privatised public transport system. My train is only running every 20minutes on non peak time and every half hour after 7pm, this is nuts. So many people use the train especially since the high petrol price, but nothing is done. In the latest budget, they don't have any plan to reduce the street congestion and trains problems, instead they just put another 5 million bucks into another transport study.
There are so many other things that become huge problems here, but I don't want to write all of them, I don't want to turn this into political blog. Isn't it ironic that Australia is always promoting itself as a democratic country, yet the government never listen to the public. Who are they working for? And who paid them anyway?
I also wonder why Australia want to americanised itself, too bad tho it doesn't work. Unlike its big brother, Australia is too protective of itself. When Singapore Airlines want to fly to US, the government doesn't allow it to protect Qantas biggest profit making route. What's the use of fifth freedom rights when you can't fly anywhere except New Zealand from this remote continent. Telstra also have been given too much rights and now, what happen is telecommunication is very expensive and internet is lacking behind other developed countries. This place is basically monopolised by the big players. How to make this country a condusive place to do business, when the basic expenses is astronomical compared to other developed country? Do you even know that many of my Japanese friends when they come here, they said there are not much different in living cost with their home country? That's how expensive is it to live here.
Anyway, enough is enough, I will go home for sure. At least I get what I paid at home. Corruption maybe bad, safety is no good, benefit for public maybe non existent, but hey I can get rich faster and avoid tax, when you pay nothing you get nothing right?

虫の居所が悪い
Not sure what to write, but I have been feeling horrible. Missing so many people in my life... I feel like crying now. There's certain loneliness in my heart... I just can't thank my bb enuf for always being with me, whether I'm being grumpy or happy. Sometimes, I really wonder how long more I can stand living in here.

御誕生日おめでとうございます
Happy Birthday!!
Selamat Ulang Tahun!!
お誕生日おめでとうございます
生日快樂 [生日快乐]
생일축하합니다
Bon anniversaire
สุขสันต์วันเกิด
Χρόνια πολλά
Today is my birthday, celebrated in coincidence with the start of the Commonwealth Games opening ceremony. I went for a meal with my bb in a Mongol restaurant, it was quite sucks really.. Not as good as it was. Then we went to watch the opening ceremony in yarra river. So many people and it was actually pretty good, well.. considering they spent $40million on the ceremony alone, I expect nothing less of extravagant. To compensate the dissapointed dinner, we went for a drink in the Westin Hotel. Sounds boring? Hmm.. It was not the greatest birthday as well.. Someone actually forgot my birthday and then sms me saying happy 22nd birthday, what the..? He even forgot my age as well, sigh... Some pictures from the opening ceremony that we went to...

寂しがる
Sometimes, I have no idea in which direction I'm heading, what kind of job I want or what kind of life I want for myself. So many things are in my mind and so many people I love that I miss. Have I been wasting time for the last few years? What should I pursue for the next few years?
To Lo, Isaac, and Bebek, I really missed you so much. I miss hearing Lo's laughter, Isaac's complaints, and Bebek's roaring car's engine. God, please tell me what to do and help me to find the right job and the right life I should lead to....

Gong Xi Fat Choy!
Happy Chinese New Year everyone!!
Envy those who are in asia right now... My family called this afternoon and everyone was at my home, having lunch together. Melbourne is pretty much alive and noisy today with the firecrackers and the drums echoing around the city. Apparently, it is more happening than in Malaysia and Singapore due to the fact it is not public holiday in here, business as usual for everyone. No ang paw this year, so sad... There's a parade in the chinatown today and there was a huge dragon carried by tens of people marching in the street, Russell street and Little bourke was totally closed for 2 days. In the Crown casino, there was another dragon hanging on the ceiling, too bad I didn't have chance to have a look at it. My ears a bit deaf now, thanks to the firecrackers that popping out everywhere...
